The story behind
Life and Death, the two which go hand in hand. The painting tells a story of a dragon soul leaving a body. The Soul has waited meekly and slept peacefully within the resting body – the red shores are in fact a female body, laying on the side, half in the water, representing the tangible world – until the old friend appeared. Cháron, the master of the realms of the dead, the mysterious ferryman who takes the souls to the other side. They are reunited once again. They talk about mankind along the route, they laugh and they toast to the neverending circle of the secret principles.
